[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Lim Seul-ong (33), a singer and actor formerly of the group 2AM, caused a fatal accident by hitting a pedestrian who was jaywalking late at night on a rainy road. His agency expressed, "We sincerely pray for the deceased's soul and extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family."

According to a media report on the 4th, Lim Seul-ong was driving an SUV on a road in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, around 11:50 p.m. on the 1st when he struck a man identified as Mr. A who was jaywalking against the red light at a crosswalk. Mr. A was taken to a nearby hospital but passed away.

Investigations confirmed that Lim Seul-ong had not consumed alcohol at the time of the accident.

Lim Seul-ong’s agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, stated in a press release that "Lim Seul-ong immediately provided first aid at the scene after the accident, but the victim died en route to the hospital," adding, "Lim Seul-ong is in a state of severe psychological shock."

They continued, "We fully understand how painful the bereaved family must feel and offer our deepest apologies to them."

We would like to address the traffic accident involving Lim Seul-ong.

First, regarding the fatal accident, we sincerely pray for the deceased and extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family.

On the 1st, Lim Seul-ong was driving his vehicle when a traffic accident occurred on a rainy road. While driving, he collided with a pedestrian crossing the road. Lim Seul-ong immediately provided first aid at the scene, but unfortunately, the victim died while being transported to the hospital.

Lim Seul-ong underwent police investigation according to procedure and was later released to return home, but he is currently in a state of severe psychological shock.
