[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Yeosu Foreign Language Experience Center announced on the 4th that it will operate a 'Summer Vacation Online English Camp' for special English class students for 10 days from the 3rd to the 13th.
This English camp is conducted in real-time using remote video programs such as the Yeosu Foreign Language Experience Center and the Summer Vacation Online English Camp, supported by Yeosu City Hall, to prevent COVID-19 infection.
The online English camp conducts real-time English classes every morning for 40 minutes in small groups of 2 to 3 students. Through consistent one-on-one conversations and active feedback with native and Korean instructors, it aims to minimize learning gaps caused by COVID-19 and help improve English skills.
During the semester, the Yeosu Foreign Language Experience Center also conducted English classes twice a week for 4th graders (advanced class) and 5th graders (conversation class), focusing on various topics outside the textbook.
Director Kim Yong-dae said, "Through the operation of this online English camp, I hope it will be an opportunity to overcome the COVID-19 situation and establish an effective foundation for students to study English more safely and enjoyably through the activation of real-time remote classes."
