Damyang-gun Recruiting Participants for 'Education Expense Support Project and Vocational Training Courses'


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 4th that it is recruiting participants for the second half of the year 'Job Ara! My Job! Education Expense Support Project and Vocational Training Course' to help residents find employment.


The education expense support project is designed to strengthen the employment capabilities of residents by supporting the acquisition of certificates (completion certificates). It supports the education expenses required for obtaining certificates for 40 residents who wish to acquire certifications such as ▲Security Guard Training ▲Fire Safety Manager ▲Forklift Operator Technician ▲Hazardous Materials Safety Manager.


Eligible participants are unemployed residents aged 18 to under 65. After being selected as support recipients, they voluntarily attend the training and only those who obtain the certificate (completion certificate) will receive education expenses retroactively. Employment referral services will also be provided in the future.


The vocational training course includes the 2nd term of the Accounting Clerk Training Course, titled 'Basic Accounting Theory and Practical Computerized Accounting Operation.'


The vocational training course for unemployed residents aged 18 to under 49 will be held for 70 hours over 24 days from the 17th of this month to the 17th of next month, and after completion, support will be provided to help participants find employment as accounting clerks in local companies.


Applications for the education expense support project can be submitted until the 21st, and for the vocational training course until the 7th, either through the Job Integrated Support Center website or by visiting the center in person.


A county official stated, “The Job Integrated Support Center provides various employment support services such as operating training courses, employment referrals, and resume writing assistance to help residents find jobs. Residents who wish to find employment can visit the Job Integrated Support Center at any time to receive help.”
