[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon gave advice to a man who sought help, saying he liked a colleague.
On the 3rd, the KBS Joy entertainment program 'Ask Anything' featured a male caller who liked a colleague seven years younger than him.
On the broadcast that day, the caller said, "I have someone I like at work, but I'm worried about whether I should confess or not."
The caller said, "The person I like is a junior who is seven years younger than me. She started working at the company right after graduation, and as we hung out with the coworkers, I gradually started to like her," adding, "I showed some signs of liking her little by little, so everyone at work knows."
He continued, "She has a friend at work. That friend has a guy she’s seeing casually, and that guy asked for her number. That guy is 22 years old, and I am 27," he confessed.
In response, Lee Soo-geun comforted him, saying, "Age difference doesn't matter. What matters is a man's charm."
Hearing this, Seo Jang-hoon said, "Since you came to us, you have to tell the truth. You said everyone at work knows. That means you showed your feelings that much," explaining, "Then there is a very high possibility that she knows your feelings."
He continued, "But honestly, the chance that she is waiting for your confession is less than 10%. If you showed signs but got little reaction, it’s likely that the girl with the unrequited love just thinks of you as a good coworker or a close older brother."
Seo Jang-hoon also said, "At that age, a one- or two-year age difference is huge. To her, you feel like a big older brother or an uncle, while the 22-year-old guy is a peer."
He added, "You are probably more stable economically and in life compared to her. That is your strength," but also noted, "But she might not see that as an advantage."
Lee Soo-geun said, "Not confessing now is a problem. If you don’t confess because you’re afraid of rejection, how will you date in the future?"
Seo Jang-hoon also said, "Just coming here is itself a confession. How about confessing clearly to the girl with unrequited love here and sending her a text telling her to definitely watch the broadcast when it airs?"
