Seocho-gu, Training Solo Creators for Youth

Professional Training Program for Young People Interested in Becoming '1-Person Creators'

Seocho-gu, Training Solo Creators for Youth

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seocho-gu (Mayor Jo Eun-hee) plans to launch a one-person creator training course starting on the 20th to help young people with employment and entrepreneurship and to revitalize the local economy, which has been struggling due to COVID-19.

The training course is designed to cultivate young people's media literacy skills suitable for the one-person social media era and involves producing media content based on local community resources in the Seocho-gu area.

The training is divided into a basic course and an advanced course. The basic course involves planning, filming, and editing content on topics of interest, resulting in the production of one piece of content per individual.

The training period consists of six sessions over five weeks, starting with an inauguration ceremony on August 20 and continuing until September 19.

The advanced course includes planning consulting, practical filming, and editing, culminating in the production of three pieces of content per individual.

This course runs for 10 weeks with seven sessions from September 26 to November 28, ending with a content screening event and a graduation ceremony on the final day.

Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Seocho-gu Office website and applying by August 11. Due to COVID-19, 20 participants will be selected through document screening and non-face-to-face interviews.

Additionally, 10 participants will be separately selected from the basic course to proceed to the advanced course. For more information, please check the Seocho-gu Office website.

The unique content produced in this training will be exposed through various media to help revitalize the local economy and expand Seocho-gu's branding, with a modest production budget provided for content creation.

Jo Eun-hee, Mayor of Seocho-gu, stated, “Through the first-ever one-person creator training course for youth in Seocho-gu, we will discover and nurture local talent into experts, and we will continue to implement policies that practically support young people in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
