[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is implementing a non-face-to-face care program called ‘Exciting Homebound Parenting’ for Dream Start infants and toddlers who have experienced extended home care due to COVID-19.
‘Exciting Homebound Parenting’ is a program that delivers books, toys, and other educational materials tailored to the developmental stages of infants and toddlers each month to their homes, along with a parent guidebook. It is designed to provide timely support with necessary content according to the developmental stages of young children and to offer practical help for prolonged home care caused by COVID-19.
To this end, Geumcheon Dream Start signed a business agreement with ‘NE Neungyule? Pinpointer Communications’ on July 28, and from August, plans to provide the non-face-to-face care program ‘i-Challenge Service’ to Dream Start infant and toddler households.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “We planned the non-face-to-face care program to support the holistic development of Dream Start children and to reduce the parenting burden on families caused by gaps in public childcare.” He added, “We will continue to strive to ensure that children from vulnerable groups are not excluded from educational and cultural services through various projects.”
Inquiries can be made to the Geumcheon-gu Child and Youth Division for guidance.
