Singer 'Jeong Dan' Joins Dongchun Circus... Offering a Unique Joy to Residents Weary from COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is hosting the 'Veranda Front-Row Concert.'

On the 3rd, Guro-gu announced that it will organize a 'Veranda Concert' that visits residents' homes directly for those who find it difficult to visit performance venues due to COVID-19.

The 'Veranda Concert' will be held in outdoor spaces within apartment complexes in the area. Residents can watch the performance from their own verandas while maintaining social distancing.

The performance will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, divided into two parts. The first part features a live stage by Jung Dan, the 8th vocalist of Buhwal. Song requests will also be accepted via text messages on-site.

In the second part, Dongchun Circus is expected to captivate the audience. Various acrobatics and tricks will be performed, allowing viewers to experience the essence of traditional circus.

The events will take place on the 12th at Cheonwang Yeonji Town 2 Complex Central Plaza, on the 19th at Hangdong Harborline 3 Complex Rest Area, and on the 26th at Sindorim 2nd Prugio Apartment Rooftop Park.

At the end of last month, Guro-gu received participation applications from apartment complexes, reviewed the suitability for performances, and then selected the venues.

A Guro-gu official said, "We expect this 'Veranda Concert' to provide a new kind of enjoyment to residents who are spending more time at home," adding, "We will continue to prepare various programs that allow people to enjoy cultural life without worrying about COVID-19."
