Post-Corona Era: A Guide to Selective Tourism
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 3rd that it will produce the Gimhae Tourism Guide to help tourists make autonomous choices and enable contactless tourism in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.
The new tourism guide will include maps, historic sites, attractions, tourist spots, food, accommodation, and experiences linked by region.
It will also introduce areas selected by the Korea Tourism Organization’s “100 Relaxing and Safe Contactless Tourist Destinations” and Gyeongnam Province’s “30 Healing Accommodation Travel Destinations,” and provide trekking courses for contactless healing tourists.
Additionally, it introduces Gimhae’s long-established store “Hanumul Store,” famous cafe streets, and restaurants featured on broadcasts.
In line with the travel trend favoring small-scale contactless tourism, transportation options will be detailed by route, and addresses and contact information will be provided for private car users.
Furthermore, the guide will be promoted on Gimhae tourism SNS and made easily accessible as the “Gimhae Tourism Guide” on the city’s official tourism portal.
The city plans to produce 8,000 copies this month and distribute them at multi-use facilities, information centers, tourist sites, and general stores within the city for promotion.
Jo Gwangje, Director of Tourism, stated, “The Gimhae Tourism Guide will be produced as a comprehensive guidebook that allows tourists to choose their own courses and themes for customized contactless tourism. We will continue to do our best to develop new tourism products suitable for the post-COVID-19 era.”
