Gyeonggi Office of Education Publishes 'Contract Review Explained Through Cases'

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will publish 'Contract Review Cases from 2020' to enhance budget execution efficiency through appropriate cost analysis and to assist in contract work performance.

The contract review system was first introduced by the Gyeonggi Office of Education in 2012 among all educational administrative institutions nationwide. Before concluding various construction, service, and goods contracts ordered by educational administrative institutions, public schools, and public kindergartens, the system reviews and analyzes the appropriateness of cost estimation to determine the estimated price, thereby preventing budget waste.

The casebook to be published this time includes ▲ contract review cases from 2019 ▲ cost calculation application standards by field ▲ major review regulations ▲ guidance on websites related to estimated price preparation, covering the entire contract review work.

In particular, through visual materials titled 'Contract Review System at a Glance,' the focus will be on helping new officials at schools and education support offices easily understand contract review tasks and increase practical use in the field.

Kim Yong-ho, the financial officer of the Gyeonggi Office of Education, emphasized, "We hope that actively utilizing the casebook in the field will help improve the appropriateness of cost estimation work," and added, "We will continue to support administration centered on the field and practical work."

This casebook will also be posted on the Gyeonggi Office of Education website.
