[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] On Sunday the 2nd, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with heavy rain in various places, especially in the central region.
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced on the 1st that rain will fall in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong, and some parts of Jeolla Province.
The expected rainfall until the 3rd is 50 to 150 mm in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, and northern Chungcheong, with more than 250 mm of rain expected in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon Yeongseo.
Additionally, Gangwon Yeongdong, southern Chungcheong, North Jeolla, and inland North Gyeongsang will receive 20 to 60 mm, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo will see 5 to 40 mm of rain.
Heatwave warnings have been issued for the Gangwon East Coast, southern regions, and Jeju Island, where daytime temperatures are expected to rise above 30 degrees Celsius. Also, tropical nights are expected in some areas, so health precautions are advised.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 26 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Morning temperatures by region nationwide are expected to be Seoul 24, Chuncheon 24, Gangneung 25, Daejeon 25, Cheongju 25, Daegu 24, Gwangju 24, Jeonju 25, Busan 24, and Jeju 26 degrees Celsius.
In the afternoon, temperatures are expected to be Seoul 27, Chuncheon 28, Gangneung 31, Daejeon 29, Cheongju 29, Daegu 33, Gwangju 31, Jeonju 31, Busan 30, and Jeju 33 degrees Celsius.
Fine dust levels are observed to be at a 'Good' level nationwide.
