Opening of the Promotion Center for KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town Development Project, One-Stop Living Zone for Busan-Ulsan-Pohang-Daegu

On the 28th, the promotional center for the ‘KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town Development Project,’ located in Wonhwa-ro, Gyeongju City, opened successfully.


This project is expected to showcase a premium new town with high-rise mixed-use buildings (site area approximately 161,000 pyeong, accommodating about 16,000 residents) and is backed by major advantages such as the opening of the Donghae Nambu Line (scheduled for 2022) and the double-tracking project of the Jungang Line (scheduled for 2022).


Additionally, within the KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town, out of a total of 98 detached housing lots, 72 lots excluding 26 relocation lots will be supplied around September through a lottery system at cost price. These detached housing lots (building coverage ratio 60%, floor area ratio 200%, suitable for combined residential and commercial use) are attracting attention from both actual buyers and real estate professionals due to their rarity and investment value as public land parcels.


The KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town Development Project is being promoted through a public-private joint development method by establishing Singyeongju Station Area Public Development Co., Ltd., a consortium consisting of public institutions such as Gyeongju City, LH Korea Land & Housing Corporation, Gyeongsangbuk-do Development Corporation, and private companies including Taeyoung Construction Co., Ltd. and KDB Industrial Bank.


Furthermore, with the completion of the integrated lines of the three routes at Singyeongju Station (Gyeongbu Line KTX/SRT, Donghae Nambu Line, Jungang Line), the full opening of the bypass road of National Route 7 (scheduled for 2023), which is an exclusive automobile road under construction along with the existing Gyeongbu Expressway IC (Gyeongju/Geoncheon IC), and the relocation and expansion of Local Road 904, the entrance road to the KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town (scheduled for the end of 2022), the location environment of the KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town is expected to transform into Gyeongbuk’s representative wide-area multi-transport new town with a rapid transportation network that connects Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam as a single living zone.


The promotional center for the KTX Singyeongju Station Area New Town Development Project is located on the 2nd floor of Seongdong Tower, Wonhwa-ro, Gyeongju City. To prevent COVID-19 and minimize contact between visitors, consultations are available by appointment only.
