[Announcement+] Hurim Robot to Supply 20 Billion KRW Mask Equipment... "Exceeding Last Year's Sales"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hurim Robot announced on the 29th that it has signed a mask production equipment supply contract worth 20.5 billion KRW with Topclass. The supply quantity is 100 units, consisting of 50 dental mask production equipment units and 50 KF94 mask production equipment units. The contract amount corresponds to 116% of last year's sales.

The 100 mask equipment units will be supplied in a total of three phases. The first phase supply quantity is 10 units, and the remaining units will be supplied sequentially.

Hurim Robot has already established and operated dental mask equipment and 3-layer folding mask production equipment lines at the Cheonan test factory and the Yongin mask production line. By conducting actual mask production, it succeeded in optimizing production efficiency and improving continuous production capacity. The equipment was improved from an 'operator-friendly' perspective to enhance operational convenience.

A purchasing manager at Topclass said, "Among more than 10 production equipment companies reviewed for mask equipment, Hurim Robot was evaluated as a company capable of thorough and continuous after-sales management as well as productivity and stability," adding, "In particular, since Hurim Robot has been working on industrial robots centered on advanced industries such as semiconductors and displays, it was possible to expand to fully automated equipment in connection with these, so we decided to proceed with the contract with Hurim Robot."

Hurim Robot plans to actively enter overseas markets starting with this contract. It has already begun converting the D2 factory at its Cheonan headquarters into a dedicated manufacturing line for mask equipment to ensure smooth supply of mask production equipment. To secure product competitiveness for export, it is promoting collaboration with multiple partners aiming at quality improvement and cost reduction.

A Hurim Robot official said, "Once mask prices stabilize, it will eventually lead to cost competition, so demand for fully automated equipment that can minimize production costs will increase," adding, "Hurim Robot is developing various automation devices that can be linked with existing installed mask equipment in preparation for this."
