Busan Science Experience Center will hold a ‘Special Insect Ecology Experience Exhibition’ from August 1 to 30 in the first-floor special exhibition hall to celebrate the summer vacation.

Various programs for observing and experiencing live insects will welcome family visitors. A rare collection of 456 insect species totaling about 6,850 individuals will be exhibited, and visitors can also see the rare insect Jangsu Haneulso (Longhorn beetle).

On the first day, August 1, a special event called ‘Jangsu Beetle Larvae Distribution’ will take place. Applications can be made on the day through the Busan Science Experience Center website.

Those wishing to attend can make reservations on the Busan Science Experience Center website. The admission fee is 1,000 won, and experience material fees are charged separately. To prevent COVID-19, entry is limited to 50 people per session, four times a day, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Park Hyunjun, Director of Busan Science Education Institute, said, “This insect ecology experience exhibition, held during summer vacation, will be a time that the whole family can enjoy together.”
