August 3 Release, 10% Cashback Event

Gyeongbuk Uljin-gun Issues 3 Billion KRW Worth of Local Love Gift Certificates... Prepaid Card Type Uljin County Office Building.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will launch the 'Uljin Sarang Card,' a rechargeable prepaid (IC) card, on August 3 to revitalize the local economy and prevent consumption outflow outside the region.

According to Uljin-gun on the 29th, the Uljin Sarang Card will be issued with a scale of 3 billion KRW this year. It can be used at all stores within Uljin-gun that use IC card terminals. However, usage is restricted at some stores such as large and semi-large stores, entertainment bars, and gambling establishments.

During the launch commemoration and special benefits period for the Chuseok holiday until October 4, users can receive a 10% cashback benefit (normally 5%) on each payment within a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW and an annual limit of 5 million KRW per person. Income deduction benefits of 30% (40% for traditional markets) are also available during year-end tax settlement.

The Uljin Sarang Card can be issued to anyone aged 14 or older without residency restrictions. Card application and registration are possible through the mobile app (Geuligo), and it is used by linking the user's own bank account for charging and refunding. Residents who have difficulty using smartphones or apps can visit offline sales agencies (26 financial institutions within the jurisdiction).

Jeon Chan-geol, the county governor, said, "We hope that the launch of the Uljin Sarang Card, which can revitalize the local economy and provide various benefits, will be a practical support for local small business owners and others."
