Asan Nanum Foundation Holds '2020 N Forum' Online


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Asan Nanum Foundation (Chairman Han Jeong-hwa) announced on the 29th that it will hold the '2020 N_FORUM' online. The N_FORUM, held on the 21st of next month, is an event voluntarily planned by alumni of Asan Nanum Foundation's nonprofit specialized education program 'Asan Frontier Academy.' It started in 2015 to explore the development direction of the domestic nonprofit sector through convergence of various fields, and this year marks its 6th edition.


This forum will be held under the theme 'Experiencing the Future, New Nonprofit.' It seeks ways to wisely cope with newly arising problems as the nonprofit sector adapts to a society changed by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


The first part, under the theme 'Experiencing the Future,' features experts from various fields who will review the current status of the post-COVID era and discuss new benchmarks. Lecturers include Professor Choi Young-jun of Yonsei University, Director Yoo Jong-il of KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Professor Lim Dong-gyun of Seoul National University. Director Son Jeong-hwa of Raphael International will conduct real-time Q&A with the discussants.


The second part focuses on case studies of how current activists are coping with changes in the field. Lectures will be given by Seo Hyun-seon, CEO of Ginger Tea Project; Jo So-dam, CEO of Dotface; Hwang Jeong-hoe, teacher at Indie School; and Kwon Oh-hyun, CEO of Parti.


This N_FORUM, held online, can be registered for through the official website and will be simultaneously broadcast on YouTube. Park Ji-hoon, head of the Social Innovation Team at Asan Nanum Foundation, said, "As COVID-19 prolongs, humanity is experiencing unprecedented difficulties. Now that a future once only imagined has become reality, I hope that through N_FORUM, we can discuss the new challenges facing the nonprofit sector and find ways to move forward together."
