Seongdong Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they are investigating after the server of Company A, which creates and manages websites for alumni associations and other associations, was hacked last month.
Company A manages the websites of a total of 387 organizations, including alumni associations such as Seoul Gyeonggi Girls' High School and Gyeongbok High School, as well as the Seoul Medical Association and the Republic of Korea Army Association. It is understood that member IDs, passwords, contact information, and addresses were leaked. A police official stated, "No additional damage from the personal information leak has been confirmed so far," and added, "We have identified 11 IPs that accessed the company's server and are tracking the whereabouts of the hacker."
