Thinkware Launches Dedicated Auxiliary Batteries for Three 'iNavi iVolt' Dashcam Models

Application of Eco-friendly Battery Material Lithium Iron Phosphate, Fast Charging and Expansion, Status Indicator LED Applied

Tinkware Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Heung-bok) announced the sale of three dedicated black box auxiliary battery products: “iNavi iVolt BAB-55, BAB-105, BAB-115.”

All three iNavi iVolt products commonly apply lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4). Compared to conventional lithium-ion and nickel-based batteries, they offer more than three times longer lifespan and are environmentally friendly batteries with excellent safety against fire and explosion. Additionally, Battery Management System (BMS) 2.0 is equipped for stable long-term use.

Through a microcontroller unit (MCU), charging current, voltage, and voltage balance among the built-in cells are adjusted to enable stable battery usage. An intelligent battery sensor is also installed, which considers voltage, current, and temperature to determine the appropriate charging amount and stops the generator accordingly for efficient use.

Furthermore, the products feature LED status indicators according to operating conditions, an automatic power cut-off to protect the connected black box when the battery temperature rises above 80 degrees Celsius during charging, and expansion functionality through parallel connection when using two or more batteries.

The “iNavi iVolt BAB-55” has a battery capacity of 4,500mAh and can be used for up to 15 hours (based on black box power consumption of 4W) after approximately 40 minutes of fast charging. The “iNavi iVolt BAB-105 and BAB-115” have a battery capacity of 10,200mAh and can be used for up to 33 hours after approximately 75 minutes of fast charging.

Additionally, the “iNavi iVolt BAB-115” supports Bluetooth communication connection and allows real-time sharing of battery information via a dedicated smartphone app called the iVolt app. The app can be downloaded separately for connection and use, enabling users to check battery charge capacity, input/output voltage, temperature, and remaining discharge time in real time through their smartphones.

The prices of the “iNavi iVolt BAB-55, BAB-105, BAB-115” are 199,000 KRW, 349,000 KRW, and 379,000 KRW respectively, with one year of free repair support in case of malfunction.
