[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Seolhyun (25, real name Kim Seolhyun), a member of the group AOA, has been accused of triggering a fire alarm by smoking in a hotel, and her agency FNC Entertainment has completely denied the allegations and announced legal action.

Recently, an online community and social network services (SNS) posted that the idol who caused a commotion by smoking in a hotel in Thailand in the past, triggering the fire alarm and causing all guests to evacuate, was Seolhyun.

In response, on the 22nd, FNC stated, "We clearly declare that the person in the online rumor is not Seolhyun. We are currently collecting materials for legal action against the spreading of baseless rumors and false information online."

They added, "We deeply regret the reports that cause misunderstanding of this as fact. We will strongly take legal action without any leniency due to the serious damage to reputation caused by this."

Furthermore, they said, "We will actively take legal measures against defamation related to our artists occurring online."

Previously, in 2016, on E Channel's 'Brave Reporters,' a reporter said, "When idol member A went to Thailand for an advertisement shoot, she smoked in the hotel room, triggering the fire alarm and causing guests to evacuate." Afterward, netizens speculated that the member was Seolhyun.
