How to Approach CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in the Post-Corona Era?


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) will hold the "2020 YDP CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Forum" at 3 p.m. on the 23rd at the district office broadcasting station "Studio Tium" to create new social value in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.


Starting this year, the district will hold social contribution forums on various topics related to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), and this forum marks the first of such events.


Under the theme "How to Approach CSR in the Post-COVID-19 Era," this forum will be conducted as an online discussion in a non-face-to-face (untact) format, fitting the theme.


After the forum, the recorded video will be released on the district's official YouTube channel "Yeonggune," allowing anyone to watch it.


The district recruited experts from various fields as participants, including corporate social contribution managers, nonprofit organization representatives, and related institution officials.


The chairperson will be Kim Do-young, CEO of CSR Forum, with participants including Park Pil-gyu, team leader of GS Caltex CSR Promotion Team, representatives from Yeongdeungpo-gu Volunteer Center, and district officials, who will present cases and suggestions.


The forum will cover topics such as ▲Local Communities and Social Innovation ▲Post-COVID-19, New Challenges for CSR ▲Volunteering in the Post-COVID-19 Era ▲Corporate CSR, Yeongdeungpo District Office Together.


In line with the "New Normal" era, discussions will also include efficient ways to discover social resources necessary to overcome disasters like COVID-19 and social innovation plans for local communities.


Those wishing to participate in the forum can apply online by 6 p.m. on the 22nd of this month. Applicants will receive the participation link via SMS about 30 minutes before the event and can watch the forum video through YouTube.


Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "We are holding an online forum to explore new social values and paths in the post-COVID-19 era," adding, "I hope this forum will be a meaningful opportunity to gather wisdom and ideas from experts and people from all walks of life."
