United Future Party Floor Deputy Representatives Visit Police Agency and Seoul City Hall to Protest Regarding Mayor Park

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The floor deputy representatives of the United Future Party announced on the 16th that they visited the National Police Agency and Seoul City Hall to protest regarding the sexual harassment case involving the late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon.

According to the United Future Party, Kim Seong-won, the party's floor chief deputy representative, along with lawmakers Kwak Sang-do, Kim Seung-su, Kwon Myung-ho, Jeong Hee-yong, Jeon Ju-hye, Eom Tae-young, and Lee Yong, visited the National Police Agency and held a meeting with Police Commissioner Min Gap-ryong. Earlier that day, the United Future Party filed a criminal complaint with the prosecution against Commissioner Min, the National Police Agency, and Blue House officials for violations of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act and breach of official secrets.

The floor deputy representatives then proceeded to visit Seoul City Hall to protest. At this meeting, the delegation is expected to point out the unfairness of Seoul City's internal investigation. The United Future Party has previously criticized that Seoul City, as the subject of the investigation, conducting its own fact-finding inquiry lacks credibility.
