[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Three promising small and medium-sized enterprises, Hyunmyeong Industry, K-Marine Co., Ltd., and Garam Environment Co., Ltd., are newly settling in the Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex in Gimje, Jeonbuk.


According to the city on the 16th, a sales contract for the Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex was signed the day before with the attendance of Hyunmyeong Industry CEO Cho Hyun-gyu, K-Marine Co., Ltd. CEO Jung Hyesook, Garam Environment Co., Ltd. CEO Lee Dong-hyuk, and city officials.


These three companies will invest about 4 billion KRW in a 9,954㎡ (approximately 3,010 pyeong) area within the Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex, creating about 60 jobs.


Hyunmyeong Industry, a specialized manufacturer of special vehicle parts, will invest 2.1 billion KRW (employing 13 people) on a 3,306㎡ site to establish a manufacturing line for parts production of excavators, ladder trucks, and more.


K-Marine Co., Ltd. plans to invest about 900 million KRW in a 3,306㎡ area to build production facilities for solar-powered boats and hovercrafts, and will hire 24 new employees.


Additionally, Garam Environment Co., Ltd., an environmental plant manufacturer, will invest 1.1 billion KRW on a 3,341㎡ site to establish a new factory producing air pollution control facilities.


Mayor Park Jun-bae said, “I am grateful to the companies that decided to invest in the Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex despite the ongoing difficulties in business management due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We will do our best to support all three companies so that they can grow together with Gimje City.”
