According to the city on the 16th, the 'Gimje Employment Stability Job Center,' which will act as the control tower for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project, held an opening ceremony and began full-scale activities.
The city plans to invest 30 billion won over the next five years to revitalize key industries in crisis such as automobile parts, foster new industries such as the recently growing agro-food industry and future special-purpose vehicles, and create 3,000 better jobs.
The Job Center is expected to inject vitality and energy into the local economy by serving as a core organization to implement new employment policies, supporting various corporate benefits and employment services, and providing jobs that meet citizens' expectations.
Mayor Park Jun-bae said, "I consider the opening of the Job Center, which will serve as the hub of our city's employment policy amid the unprecedented global economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, to be meaningful," and added, "We will continue to do our best for economic recovery with creative thinking and extraordinary measures to realize economic leap and a just Gimje."
