[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) is recruiting participants for the 'COVID-19 Overcome Youth Hope Job Project' until the 28th of this month.
The 'COVID-19 Overcome Youth Hope Job Project' is part of the government's measures to overcome the economic recession and employment crisis caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, providing jobs to young people and helping stabilize their livelihoods.
As of July 14, the district is recruiting a total of 69 residents of Dongdaemun-gu who have the ability to work and are aged between 18 and 39 as of the project start date, August 10.
The 'COVID-19 Overcome Youth Hope Job Project' will be conducted at local schools or comprehensive social welfare centers and will operate through ▲ COVID-19 quarantine support ▲ educational content production support ▲ infection prevention activities support.
Residents wishing to participate in this project can apply by visiting the Job Center on the first floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office by the 28th of this month.
The district will prioritize the selection of vulnerable employment groups such as low-income individuals, persons with disabilities, single-parent families, and those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19. Final participants will be selected through screening and individually notified on August 6.
The working period is four months from August 10 to December 9, with 6 to 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (working hours vary by project), and monthly salary calculated based on the 2020 minimum wage of 8,590 KRW per hour.
