[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Shinil Electronics announced on the 15th that it held its 61st anniversary ceremony at its new Seonyudo headquarters on the 14th.

Shinil has moved from its former offices in Jangchung-dong and Bangbae-dong, Seoul, to its own new headquarters for the first time in 13 years and has officially started operations. The Seonyudo headquarters, located in Yangpyeong-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, has a total floor area of 3,133㎡ with 3 basement levels and 7 above-ground floors. About 80 employees from key departments and the existing Mullae-dong Seoul office have relocated and work across four floors.

At the 61st anniversary ceremony held at the Seonyudo headquarters, Shinil expressed its ambition to leap forward as a comprehensive home appliance company offering total solutions for home electronics.

Chairman Kim Young said in his opening remarks, “The new headquarters represents innovation for future value beyond just a change of space,” adding, “We expect to enhance our value as a comprehensive home appliance company and achieve greater growth.”

CEO Jung Yoonseok stated at the ceremony, “I hope everyone experiences a happy and exciting workplace through close teamwork in this new space,” and added, “Let’s embrace this year’s slogan, ‘Let’s Work Excitingly! Team Challenge 2020!’ here and achieve great results.”

Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony was significantly downsized. About 150 employees from the company and partner firms attended, toured the new headquarters, and shared the direction and vision for Shinil’s future.
