Homeplus Launches 'Fresh Chicken Caught Yesterday' Minimizing Distribution Steps

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Homeplus announced on the 15th that it will offer 'Fresh Chicken Caught Yesterday' (1kg) at 4,990 KRW from the 16th to the 22nd nationwide in stores and online malls to celebrate Chobok.

Typically, the distribution of fresh chicken in large marts takes two days through four stages: slaughtering, processing, logistics center, and store. However, this product reduces the distribution time to one day by conducting the most time-consuming slaughtering and processing steps in one place. Additionally, it is sold only on the day of arrival, allowing customers to always enjoy fresh chicken caught the day before.

In particular, for online mall orders, specialized pickers select products at the store closest to the customer's home and deliver them on the same day using cold chain vehicles, minimizing the product's exposure to room temperature. The plan is to help customers receive the freshest products as quickly as possible.

`

Furthermore, Homeplus will offer discounted sales of 'Wando Abalone,' raised for over 1,000 days in the Wando sea area and packaged with patented oxygen packaging, and 'Nature Chicken,' domestic eco-friendly antibiotic-free chicken fried on the 18th and 19th. From the 16th to the 19th, customers paying with event cards will be offered 'Fresh Special Eggs' at a super special price.

Lee Kang-su, head of the Homeplus Livestock Team, said, “As customers' interest in health increases, we launched this product to help them enjoy Chobok health food more freshly. Based on the competitiveness of fresh food from a trusted offline distributor, we will continue to provide safe food.”
