[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it held the '2020 Construction Industry Innovation Forum' on the theme of restructuring the construction industry sectors and the main contractor joint subcontracting system, together with construction industry stakeholders in the provincial government conference room.
This forum was held with the participation of about 40 key construction industry stakeholders and city and county officials, including the Construction Research Institute, the Construction Association, and construction company representatives, in response to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The forum proceeded with discussions and Q&A on topics such as the abolition of construction industry sector regulations due to the restructuring of the construction production system and its impact on the main contractor joint subcontracting system.
Shin Dae-ho, Head of the Disaster Safety and Construction Headquarters of Gyeongnam Province, said, “This forum became a good platform for discussing the direction of construction industry innovation in Gyeongsangnam-do in 2020,” adding, “The tasks derived will be actively reviewed and reflected, and through continuous communication and feedback, we will work to establish the main contractor joint subcontracting system early.”
