All 29 Firefighters in Contact with Gwangju Case No. 168 Test Negative

According to the Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 14th, all 29 firefighters who had direct or indirect contact with Gwangju case number 168 tested negative for COVID-19.


The fire authorities decided that considering the asymptomatic incubation period, the firefighters will self-isolate for 1 to 2 weeks before returning to work.


The confirmed case number 168 in Gwangju, an employee of the equipment installation company inside the fire truck, visited five fire stations and the 119 Safety Center in Gwangju on the 6th, one day before symptoms appeared.


At the time of the visit, the individual's temperature was normal, and there were no special symptoms; symptoms reportedly appeared the following day, on the 7th.
