Maximum Support of 2.5 Million KRW for Selected Collaborative Projects
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Community groups in Jeonju, Jeonbuk, are launching a collaborative project to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
On the 13th, the city announced that it will recruit cooperative communities participating in the project "Samsam O O Mungchyeoya Sanda," where three or more local communities unite to promote joint projects, until the 31st of this month.
The support areas include four fields: ▲ "Social Quarantine Activity Project" to prevent the spread of COVID-19 ▲ "Vitality Recharge Project" to heal the daily life exhausted by COVID-19 ▲ "Sharing, Caring, and Protecting Community Project" to overcome the COVID-19 crisis ▲ and other "Innovative Community-type Projects" to overcome COVID-19.
The city plans to select seven teams among the cooperative communities and support project funds ranging from 1.5 million to 2.5 million KRW per team.
Cooperative communities wishing to participate can download the application form from the city website or the Jeonju Urban Innovation Center website, fill it out, and submit it by visiting the Jeonju Urban Innovation Center or via email.
Afterward, the submitted communities will be reviewed, and the results will be posted on the city website on the 6th of next month, with individual notifications.
The city expects that through this project, communities will leverage their characteristics and strengths to overcome COVID-19, as well as build a community network to strengthen their activity capabilities.
Park Hyunyoung, head of the Village Community Division, said, "It is meaningful that communities can independently build networks and participate in broader projects," adding, "Since this year’s theme is to overcome COVID-19, we hope many excellent and innovative projects will be selected to benefit the local community."
