[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyosung donated 20 million KRW in scholarships to the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation on the 10th. The donated scholarships will be awarded to 20 middle and high school students from underprivileged groups within Mapo-gu.
The Mapo-gu Hope Sharing Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students, underprivileged students, and students with special talents within Mapo-gu. Since 2015, Hyosung has sponsored a total of 120 million KRW through the Mapo-gu Hope Sharing Scholarship, benefiting 120 students.
Park Hong-seop, Chairman of the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, said, "Hyosung’s six-year continuous scholarship sponsorship as part of local sharing gives us a great sense of responsibility," and added, "We will ensure that Hyosung’s sponsorship funds are properly delivered to marginalized students to help them continue their studies despite economic difficulties."
