Gimje-si Advances Second Phase of Total Marketing Project for Global Market Entry

Recruitment of Participating Companies from the 15th to the 30th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Gimje City, Jeonbuk, is recruiting companies to participate in total marketing for global market entry targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling with exports due to COVID-19.

On the 13th, the city announced that together with the Jeonbuk KOTRA Support Group, it will recruit participating companies for the "2020 Global Market Entry Total Marketing 2nd Project" from the 15th to the 30th.

Last November, the city prepared the "SME Export Activation Promotion Roadmap" and enacted the "SME Export Activation Ordinance," laying the groundwork for revitalizing the local economy through export support.

Then, in January, the city launched the "Global Market Entry Total Marketing 1st Project," with six export companies based in the city participating, achieving remarkable results in strengthening capabilities as well as improving export performance.

Due to prolonged difficulties caused by COVID-19, the city decided to expand support services for export companies by additionally allocating 40 million KRW in the second supplementary budget this year to promote the 2nd project.

Main support projects include ▲COVID-19 Emergency Overseas Branch Establishment Project ▲Overseas Market Research Project ▲Export Insurance Premium Support Project ▲Online Marketing Support Project ▲Foreign Language Interpretation and Translation Support Project ▲Overseas Standard Certification Support Project, among others.

Mayor Park Jun-bae said, "In the post-COVID era, Gimje City is swiftly and thoroughly implementing proactive export support measures," adding, "We hope these support measures will provide great vitality to SMEs struggling with exports."
