[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Son Heung-min (28, Tottenham Hotspur) achieved 10 goals and 10 assists in the 2019-2020 English Premier League (EPL) season.

On the morning of the 13th (Korean time), Son Heung-min started in the home match of the 35th round of the 2019-2020 Premier League season, the 'North London Derby' against Arsenal, held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK.

That day, Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the first half by intercepting a pass from Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac and scoring with a left-footed lob shot over the goalkeeper.

Then, in the 36th minute of the second half, Son Heung-min assisted Toby Alderweireld's go-ahead header from a corner kick, securing a 2-1 victory for the team.

With 1 goal and 1 assist that day, Son Heung-min was involved in all of the team's goals and recorded double-digit Premier League goals for four consecutive seasons since the 2016-2017 season.

He also achieved 10 goals and 10 assists in a single EPL regular season.

This is the first time Son Heung-min has recorded 10 goals and 10 assists in a single regular season since his professional debut.

Notably, Son Heung-min is the only Asian player to have recorded 10 goals and 10 assists in a single Premier League season.

With this victory, Tottenham increased their season points to 52 (14 wins, 10 draws, 11 losses), surpassing Arsenal, who remained at 50 points (12 wins, 14 draws, 9 losses), and rose to 8th place.

After the match, Son Heung-min was selected as the 'King of the Match,' the equivalent of the Most Valuable Player, by winning 60.2% of the online fan vote.

He was far ahead of Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Mart?nez (13.1%) and Alderweireld, who scored the go-ahead goal (11.9%).
