Up to 300mm Near the South Coast and Jirisan
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Due to the influence of a stationary front, heavy rain is expected nationwide until the day after tomorrow (14th).
This monsoon rain is expected to bring a relatively large amount of rain as a large amount of water vapor is introduced from a low-pressure system developed along the stationary front.
Rain started on the morning of the 12th in Jeju Island and Gyeongsangnam-do, spreading to Chungcheong Province in the afternoon and nationwide by night. From night on the 12th to the morning of the 13th, very heavy rain of 50-80mm per hour will fall mainly in Jeolla Province and Chungcheong Province, and from dawn to afternoon on the 13th, the southern coast and areas around Jirisan will experience very heavy rain of 50-80mm per hour.
Due to topographical effects, very heavy rain reaching up to 300mm will fall mainly around the southern coast and Jirisan.
Seoul and Gyeonggi-do will receive relatively less rain. The expected precipitation is 50-100mm. Most of the rain will stop by the day after tomorrow.
