[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] On the 10th, Park Beom-gye, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, paid his respects at the funeral hall of the late Park Won-soon, Mayor of Seoul, set up at Seoul National University Hospital. He spoke to the press with a choked voice, saying, "I have known him since the launch of the Participatory Government, and because he was a clear-minded person, I feel that he had no choice but to leave this world."

Park added, "He called me not long ago, but I couldn't answer. I feel very sorry and apologetic."

After paying his respects, Assemblyman Kim Young-bae said, "I saw him the day before while having dinner with former and current district mayors," and added, "My heart is very devastated."
