[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] After hearing the sad news of Mayor Park Won-soon's passing, President Moon Jae-in said, "Mayor Park has been a long-time acquaintance since our days at the Judicial Research and Training Institute," and described it as "too shocking," Presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min conveyed on the 10th.


On the same day, Noh visited the funeral hall set up at Seoul National University Hospital along with Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Kang Ki-jung, Senior Secretary for Public Communication Yoon Do-han, and Senior Secretary for Civil Society Kim Geo-seong, and spoke to the press. He explained that President Moon's remarks were also conveyed to the bereaved family.


President Moon also sent a wreath to the funeral hall to console the family.


President Moon and Mayor Park both passed the 22nd Judicial Examination in 1980 and completed the 12th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute together in 1982.
