SPC Group (Chairman Hur Young-in) announced that it conducted an 'Employee Donation Campaign' from July 7 to 9 at the Yangjae headquarters to participate in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2020 Cheer Up Campaign aimed at spreading a culture of sharing.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare's '2020 Cheer Up Campaign' is a campaign to promote a culture of sharing by introducing various ways to practice sharing and encouraging nationwide participation in everyday sharing. SPC Group, led by Chairman Hur Young-in, is the first company to participate in the program.
The campaign participated in by SPC Group under Chairman Hur Young-in is conducted in a non-face-to-face format in accordance with the recent social atmosphere. Employees who wish to participate register their donations online and leave the items in designated storage boxes, which are then collected. When registering online, participants can write stories about the donated items or messages they want to convey to the recipients, which will be delivered along with the items.
The donated items through the campaign are delivered to Goodwill Store, an organization supporting jobs for people with disabilities, Dodam House and Sangnok Orphanage, organizations supporting low-income single-parent families, children in care, and youth. Since 2018, SPC Group under Chairman Hur Young-in has conducted donation campaigns at its headquarters, delivering a total of 4,988 items.
An SPC Group official said, "We hope that the donated items will be of even small help to our neighbors," and added, "Going forward, SPC Group under Chairman Hur Young-in will continue to seek ways to support neighbors facing difficulties in welfare blind spots."
