[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] BMW Korea announced on the 10th that it will begin pre-orders for the new X5 xDrive45e, a plug-in hybrid sports activity vehicle (SAV).
The new X5 xDrive45e, scheduled to be released in South Korea next month, is an SAV equipped with the latest BMW eDrive technology. It features excellent fuel efficiency and an extended electric driving range while maintaining the distinctive luxury and versatility of the new X5.
The new X5 xDrive45e is equipped with a battery more than twice the capacity of the previous generation model. As a result, it offers the longest pure electric driving range among BMW PHEV models, allowing driving up to 54 km without using any fuel. Additionally, despite a powerful combined output of 394 horsepower, its carbon dioxide emissions are only 43g per kilometer.
In South Korea, the new X5 xDrive45e will be launched in two trims: the new X5 xDrive45e xLine and the new X5 xDrive45e M Sport, with an expected price range of 113 million to 121 million KRW.
