People Party on Choo Mi-ae's Draft Statement Leak: "Either State Manipulation or Government Paralysis"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 9th, the People’s Party criticized Choi Kang-wook, leader of the Open Democratic Party, regarding the controversy over his pre-exposure of the draft statement of Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae on Facebook, saying, “Even if it was merely a simple communication or consultation process rather than collusion with a lawmaker in the suspect status, is that considered proper conduct?” and added, “If it is not state manipulation, it is clearly a state error and state disappearance.”

On the same day, Ahn Hye-jin, spokesperson for the People’s Party, said in a statement, “Choi’s inexplicable arrogance and premature celebration are already familiar, so this situation was a predictable scenario, which is only bitter.”

Spokesperson Ahn pointed out, “They were intoxicated with the victory of the last election and swallowed the entire nation, leading to the misconception that there would be no smart entity to criticize any arrogance or mistake by citing public opinion, or they simply do not care about the people at all.”

Spokesperson Ahn added, “As society is heading toward chaos and catastrophe itself, where is our 'absolute dignity' president now?” and said, “We hope the president will soon wake up from sleep and stand before the people whose hope for the future has been butchered, even if it is just to offer an excuse that there was a debt to incompetent aides.”
