Jangseong-gun Temporarily Closes Jangseongho Lakeside Trail Starting the 11th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 9th that it will temporarily close the Jangseongho Lakeside Trail from the 11th to the 31st due to an increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases in neighboring local governments.

The closure targets the entire 11 km section of the Jangseongho Lakeside Trail, as well as the Yellow Suspension Bridge, Hwanggeumbit Suspension Bridge, and convenience facilities.

The county plans to promote the closure through placards and SNS, and install blocking facilities at the entrance of the lakeside trail.

Additionally, during the closure period, the county will manage the situation to prevent the influx of external tourists by using gift certificate exchange centers and CCTV within Jangseongho.

A county official stated, “This is a preemptive measure to prevent the regional spread of infectious diseases, and we have no choice but to temporarily close access to the Jangseongho Lakeside Trail.” He added, “Even after the closure period ends, if the spread of COVID-19 remains severe, the control period may be extended.”
