[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Moon Seok, CEO of Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, joined the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' campaign to support flower farmers facing difficulties due to social distancing and various event cancellations caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Through participation in this Flower Bucket Challenge, Hanwha Hotels & Resorts plans to deliver bouquets purchased from flower farms to on-site employees working at the forefront of quarantine efforts to provide customers with a 'safe rest' even amid the COVID-19 situation.
CEO Moon said, "I hope this challenge participation will be of some help to flower farmers struggling due to COVID-19," adding, "I will do my best to fulfill the corporate social responsibility while reflecting on the meaning of Hanwha Group's social contribution philosophy, 'Together, Far'." The Flower Bucket Challenge, conducted in a relay format, was joined upon the nomination of Cho Yoon-sung, CEO of GS Retail. CEO Moon recommended Cho Chang-hyun, CEO of Shinsegae Simon, as the next participant.
