Ainet Broadcasting Chairman Park Junhee "Donates 12,000 Masks to 26 Countries' World Korean Women's Foundations to Protect Overseas Koreans" Dr. Junhee Park, Ph.D., Chairman of Inet Broadcasting

Park Junhee, Chairman of Inet TV, announced that on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in order to protect overseas Korean women who are members of the World Korean Women’s Foundation under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, 12,000 dental masks (with triple-layer filters) were donated to members in 26 countries. After consulting with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, prior export approval was obtained based on Article 5, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2 of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s “Emergency Supply Adjustment Measures for Masks and Hand Sanitizers,” and the masks were delivered via Korea Post’s international EMS service.

The World Korean Women’s Foundation, launched in 2001 as one of the major projects of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, is a global network of about 500 professional female leaders of Korean descent active in branches across 26 countries. Park Junhee, Chairman of Inet Broadcasting, serves as the only male director of this foundation. Recognizing the severe shortage of masks amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, he urgently procured 12,000 masks to protect members of the foundation worldwide, including in the United States, Germany, Austria, Spain, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Brazil, France, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Canada, the Philippines, Australia, Denmark, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Italy, Turkey, Paraguay, Chile, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. The masks were promptly delivered after obtaining overseas export approval through coordination with government agencies.

Since March 2020, Park Junhee of Inet Broadcasting has been conducting a relay donation campaign, donating a total of 40,000 masks through five domestic institutions and two overseas organizations. He expressed his hope that no one would be left out during the difficult times of mask shortages by selecting various donation recipients and supporting efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
