Lotte Food Pasteur, Renewal of Kkwaebyeon and Launch of Kkwaebyeon Collagen

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Lotte Food Pasteur announced on the 9th that it is renewing its representative fermented milk for gut health, ‘Kwaebyeon,’ and newly launching ‘Kwaebyeon Collagen.’ The upgraded Kwaebyeon has strengthened the synbiotic Kwaebyeon system by significantly increasing the prebiotic ingredients such as complex probiotics, dietary fiber, oligosaccharides, and lactulose.

The dietary fiber content has been expanded from 2 types to 3 types. Oligosaccharides have also been diversified from 2 types to 3 types, increasing from 600 mg to 1800 mg, tripling the amount. Lactulose has been increased from 1000 mg to 1300 mg. These ingredients act as prebiotics that help the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.

The four types of complex probiotics, including Denmark’s famous BB-12 strain, have been significantly increased from 15 billion to over 100 billion bacteria. Additionally, the lactose-free patented process allows people with lactose intolerance to comfortably enjoy the yogurt. Besides upgrading the ingredients, the milk and fruit juice content have been increased and viscosity improved to enhance the taste.

Along with the Kwaebyeon renewal, Kwaebyeon Collagen has been newly introduced. Kwaebyeon Collagen contains fast-absorbing low-molecular fish collagen and hibiscus. The package design uses a lively pink color to express a fresh image. With this renewal, the lineup now includes five types: apple, grape, gold kiwi, low-fat plain, and the newly added Kwaebyeon Collagen.
