[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will begin nurturing master's and doctoral-level talents researching advanced technologies related to the planning, development, and management of next-generation games starting from the spring semester next year. The KAST Graduate School of Cultural Technology announced on the 8th that it has been recruiting new students for the "Emerging Technology Research Talent Development Program for Games" since the 3rd. Established as the "KAIST CT-Game Program," this graduate course aims to cultivate specialized R&D personnel in gaming by selecting about 10 master's and doctoral students annually and fostering talents based on curricula such as future game technology, future game information engineering, future game culture, and game technology management. To this end, a project team collaborating with NCSoft and Daejeon Museum of Art will be formed. Additionally, through projects related to the Korea Creative Content Agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, government funding of 2.75 billion KRW will be received, with a total investment of 3.1 billion KRW over three years planned.
