[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam reflected on its activities in the first half and announced on the 8th its plans and aspirations for council operations over the next two years, aiming to improve on the shortcomings in the second half.
Hapcheon County Council Chairman Bae Mong-hee stated, “In the document titled ‘The 8th Hapcheon County Council Second Half Operation Direction,’ the council was one that fulfilled its duties despite tension and conflicts in the first half,” adding, “In the second half, we will build a trusted council through diligent legislative activities.”
He also said, “We will establish institutional support to assist council members’ activities in various ways, such as creating research groups to consider the county’s development direction and specific alternatives, by providing an environment where members can more faithfully perform their original roles.”
He continued, “To focus on overseeing county administration, we will conduct continuous integrity education for council members to prevent a sense of privilege from taking root, and based on integrity and enhanced capabilities, harmonize differing views and personalities among members to establish a dignified council image that is trusted by residents and acts as a reliable partner in county administration.”
