[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon, Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] On the 8th, Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae publicly demanded Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol to wait until "10 a.m. tomorrow (the 9th)" regarding the exercise of investigative command rights related to the prosecution-media collusion suspicion case, while Hwang Hee-seok, Supreme Council Member of the Open Democratic Party, warned it was the "last chance."

On the 8th, Supreme Council Member Hwang shared an article about Minister Choo's final ultimatum on his Facebook, saying, "The minister set a deadline for submitting the answer sheet. What score if the answer sheet is not submitted within that time?"

He criticized Prosecutor General Yoon, saying, "24 hours is more than enough time to write and submit the answer sheet! If it were me, it wouldn't even take 5 minutes," and added, "What I hated the most was the arbitrary abuse of the investigation and prosecution rights granted by the people, arrogantly ruling over the people."

He continued, "The Chun Doo-hwan military regime, which oppressed the people who came to power by force, was also destroyed, so is it acceptable for someone who passed the bar exam and became a prosecutor to act arrogantly and exploit their position for life?"

He further stated, "Targeted investigations, fabricated investigations, and media manipulations against former Minister Cho Kuk; joint fabrication operations with Channel A against writer Yoo Si-min; attempts to link the Blue House by coercing false testimonies about election interference in Ulsan, which drove an innocent prosecution investigator to suicide?are these the only misdeeds and crimes?"

He warned, "Kneel down and beg for forgiveness even now. This is the last chance. If you ambiguously resist and foolishly reach out to the political world for salvation, you will sink into a quagmire."

Minister Hwang added, "Since yesterday, there have been people within the Democratic Party saying to accept a special prosecutor and resolve things amicably," and added, "Sorry, but these people are trying to save Yoon Seok-yeol. There is definitely someone inside doing something else."

Meanwhile, on the same day, Minister Choo pointed out to Prosecutor General Yoon, saying, "It has already been a week since the investigative command was issued," and added, "I also took time to fully listen to and understand the loyalty and difficulties of the members of the prosecution organization. No one would consider the current situation normal. The public is very frustrated."

She added, "Public and private cannot go together. Right and wrong cannot go together," and said, "We must not go back to what is no longer right."
