'Incheon Seomporters' Online Launch Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Tourism Organization announced on the 8th that it has launched the 'Incheon Seomporters' to discover and promote the charm of Incheon islands and has begun full-scale activities.

The Incheon Seomporters is a compound word of 'Incheon Seom (island)' and 'Supporters.'

Among a total of 218 applicants, 21 people living in the metropolitan area who showed high interest in Incheon islands and actively operate SNS were finally selected as the first generation Seomporters.

To participate in social distancing in daily life, the Incheon Seomporters inauguration ceremony was held online in a non-face-to-face manner on the 7th.

Over the next four months, they will visit Soyjakdo in Ongjin-gun, Seodo in Seo-gu, and Somuido in Jung-gu, promoting each island through various concepts and content.

The supporters will receive a certain activity allowance, and the best performers will be given various benefits such as awards and prizes. Especially this year, in collaboration with Incheon Port Authority, they will also have time to tour the cruise terminal and the Incheon Port International Passenger Terminal, which opened in June this year.

An official from Incheon Tourism Organization stated, "We will actively promote Incheon islands to become famous spots by gathering the fresh ideas and passion of the supporters."
