Boseong-gun Raises Social Distancing to Level 2... Suspension of Public Facility Operations


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, will suspend the operation of public multi-use facilities as the 'social distancing' level is raised to Level 2.


According to Boseong-gun on the 7th, the facilities to be suspended this time include 9 cultural facilities, 16 sports facilities, and 3 others.


The county made this decision to ensure the safety of residents and visitors amid the recent spread of COVID-19 in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas.


The cultural facilities that will suspend operations are △Culture and Arts Center, △Gunlip Baekmin Art Museum, △Taebaeksanmaek Literature Museum, △Pansori Jeongji, △Boseong Rural Public Library, △Bangjingwan, △Chungjeolsa, △Hongam Nacheol Memorial Hall, and △Beolgyo Geumyong Cooperative. They will suspend operations until the 19th and may extend depending on the situation.


The sports facilities include △Boseong National Sports Center, Boseong Sports Park (Dahyang Gymnasium, Tennis Court), Beolgyo Sports Center, Beolgyo Football Stadium, Boknae Football Stadium, Hoecheon Baseball Stadium, and All-weather Gateball Field. They have suspended operations since the 4th and will temporarily close until the 19th.


△Botjae, △Korea Tea Museum, and △Yulpo Sea Water Green Tea Center also closed from the 6th, and the decision to resume operations will be made depending on the COVID-19 trend.


Meanwhile, to block COVID-19, Boseong-gun held an emergency response meeting on the 3rd and decided to close 452 multi-use facilities such as senior centers. They are also expanding electronic entry systems and strengthening their own disinfection measures.
