[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] On the 6th, Jo Su-jin, a member of the Future United Party, targeted Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae's son regarding the 'KATUSA Emperor Service Allegation,' emphasizing, "It must be seen that the mother used her power to lead a crime."

In a post on her Facebook that day, Rep. Jo said, "The suspicions of 'mom's chance' and 'emperor leave' for Minister Choo's son are becoming concrete. Ordinary mothers, not Minister Choo, would be in despair."

She pointed out, "According to the military officer who was with Minister Choo's son, before the report that Minister Choo's son had not returned, an order to extend the leave came from higher-ups," and asked, "How is this 'collusion between prosecutors and media'?"

She added, "Minister Choo must answer about the nature of the leave her son received from the military," and said, "Soldiers who are sick primarily receive treatment at military hospitals," emphasizing, "No one is calling it sick leave. Just by looking at this, it can only be seen as preferential leave, an emperor leave through mom's chance."

She continued, "A soldier taking 20 days of leave and not returning on the scheduled date is a clear case of desertion," and stressed, "Someone from Minister Choo's side calling the unit to process the extension of her son's leave while he was in a desertion state is a violation of regulations and an abuse of authority."

Rep. Jo warned, "If you thought that stripping Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol of his investigative authority could cover up the 'allegation of military leave and non-return' of your son, you are mistaken."

Earlier, on the 1st, Minister Choo said at the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee regarding the media reports on the investigation into her son Seo (27) not returning from military leave, "My son's personal matters were leaked in detail to the media," and added, "I am once again amazed at how serious the collusion between prosecutors and media is."

She explained the suspicions surrounding her son, saying, "I am a public figure, so I will endure it, but my child served every single day of his military duty without missing a day."
