According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 7th, the total number of confirmed cases in the region has increased to 121.

Mr. A, a man in his 60s living in Yongsan-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, classified as case number 118, came into contact with Gwangju case number 85 and tested positive for COVID-19 after being tested the previous day.

Health authorities sent a 119 emergency ambulance to transfer him to the hospital, but Mr. A reportedly turned off his mobile phone and disappeared from his home.

Health authorities and the police are tracking Mr. A.

Ms. B, a woman in her 60s living in Singa-dong, Gwangsan-gu, was classified as case number 119. She was confirmed to have come into contact with Gwangju case number 57.

Case number 120, Ms. C (a woman in her 60s), and case number 121, Ms. D (a woman in her 40s), are a mother and daughter living in Unnam-dong, Gwangsan-gu. They were investigated to have come into contact with Gwangju case number 57.

Meanwhile, since the 27th of last month, a total of 87 confirmed cases have occurred in Gwangju.

By type, there are 6 cases from Gwangneuksa, 22 from Geumyang Officetel, 6 from Jeju travel, 2 from SKJ Hospital, 16 from Ilgok Central Church, 19 from Gwangju Sarang Church, 7 from Agape Silver Center, 7 from Hanul Nursing Hospital, and 2 imported cases.

By age group, there are 2 under 10 years old, 1 in their teens, 2 in their 20s, 8 in their 30s, 7 in their 40s, 20 in their 50s, 27 in their 60s, 13 in their 70s, 2 in their 80s, and 4 in their 90s.

Since the 27th of last month, the daily trend of confirmed cases is 4→4→3→12→22→6→8→16→7→6.
