[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Blockchain-based enterprise solution development startup 'Block Odyssey' and artificial intelligence (AI) image recognition startup 'Viewmagine' announced on the 7th that they have signed a business agreement to carry out the remote inspection project of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA).
On the 1st, Viewmagine, which received the purchase contract for the proof of concept of the remote inspection project being conducted by ADFCA, signed a business agreement with Block Odyssey for joint research and development of the project. The two companies expect that this agreement will lay the foundation not only for improving food hygiene and safety but also for the entry of domestic startups into the Middle Eastern market.
Kim Doyeop, CEO of Viewmagine, said, “We will strive to successfully supply all project stages, including the proof of concept phase,” and added, “We will demonstrate the excellent technological capabilities of domestic companies and focus on exporting AI, blockchain, and IoT software.” Viewmagine is a company developing image recognition AI and has developed solutions for defect detection in oil and gas pipelines.
Block Odyssey is a blockchain-based B2B solution development and supply company that has carried out private blockchain-based projects for genuine product authentication with global pharmaceutical companies (Gerber) and numerous domestic enterprises.
Yeon Changhak, CEO of Block Odyssey, stated, “The food safety demonstration project utilizing cutting-edge IT technologies such as AI and blockchain is unprecedented worldwide,” and added, “By using AI and IoT technologies to inspect food hygiene and safety matters in real time, and securely storing and recording them on the blockchain, we will ensure transparency and stability in product distribution.”
