[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Arrest warrants for two paid members of the Telegram 'Baksa Room' suspected of joining a criminal organization were dismissed.

On the 6th, Choi Chang-hoon, chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, dismissed the arrest warrants for Lee (32) and Kim (32), who are accused of joining a criminal organization and violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (production and distribution of obscene materials, etc.).

Chief Judge Choi stated the reason for dismissing Lee's warrant, saying, "Considering the degree and content of the established facts, social relationships, occupation, and family relations, it is difficult to recognize the grounds, necessity, and appropriateness for detaining the suspect."

Regarding Kim, he explained, "There is factual and legal dispute over the elements of joining and participating in the criminal group," and added, "Considering the degree and content of the established facts, it is reasonable to grant the right to contest while not in custody, and it is difficult to recognize the necessity and appropriateness of detaining the suspect."

They are accused of actively participating in crimes such as demanding or distributing sexually exploitative obscene materials to 'Baksa' Jo Joo-bin (24, detained and indicted) and possessing child sexual exploitation materials.
